## INTRODUCTION TO WATER IMAGES

Water images are much similar to mirror images; the only difference is that the water image changes from top to bottom or vice versa. And mirror images change from left to right or vice versa. Here we present to you the basic concepts and tricks to easily solve these questions in the examinations. Generally these questions are 2 markers in exams like SSC, Bank POs etc. So clear your concept and grab the marks.

Water images are the images of the objects as seen in the Water. They are also called as water reflections. When an original object is seen in water we get a water image.

In the water image the top side of the object appears on the bottom and similarly bottom side of the object appears on top. So it can be said that the water image is said to be vertical inversion of the object. The below given figure will give an easy explanation.

In the water image,

• The top side of the object becomes the bottom
• The bottom side of the object becomes the top
• The left and right sides of the object remain unchanged
