Nationality or Citizenship

A candidate must be either:

  1. A citizen of India, or
  2. A subject of Nepal, or
  3. A subject of Bhutan, or
  4. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary will be admitted to the Examination provisionally but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

Age limit

  1. For Post for which age limit is 20-27 years (He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1990 and not later than 01.08.1997)
  2. For Post for which age limit is 18-27 years (He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1990 and not later than 01.08.1999)
  3. For Post for which age limit is 20-30 years (He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1987 and not later than 01.08.1997)
  4. For Post for which age limit is upto 30 years (He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1987 and not later than 01.08.1999)
  5. For Post for which age limit is upto 32 years (He/she must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1985 and not later than 01.08.1999)

Educational qualifications (as on 01.08.2017)

i) Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer:

a) Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute

b) Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or cost & Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce or Masters in Business Studies or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Masters in Business Economics.

Note: During the period of probation direct recruits shall have to qualify the “ Subordinate Audit Service Examination” in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer.

ii) Junior Statistical Officer:

Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level (OR) Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

iii) All other Posts: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before 1st August 2017.

Application Fee: Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only)

Mode of payment: Fee can be paid through SBI Challan/ SBI Net banking or through credit/ debit cards of any bank.

Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes and Ex- Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fee, as per instructions of Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India.

Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
