    In figure X the square sheet of paper has been folded diagonally along the line of the symmetry.

    In figure Y, the sheet is folded further into a quarter to form a triangle. Again in figure Z, two circles are punched on the two corners of the finally formed triangle.

    These circles will double in each quarter of the paper. Thus, when the paper is unfolded eight circle shapes will appear symmetrically on four opposite sides.
