    Indian Councils act of 1909 suggested for the post called as Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). CAG is an authority established by the Constitution of India under Chapter V, Article 148-151. He audits all receipts and expenditure of the central and state Governments, including those of bodies and authorities financed by the government, government owned corporations etc. The reports of the CAG are considered by the public accounts committees.
