In each of the following question, find the minimum number of triangles in the given figure.

Explanation

After labelling the figure, we get the following,

- Simplest triangles GLK, DLJ, DJM, HMN, QRE, IRA, IPA and FPO (8)
- Triangles with two components each BDO, CDQ, DLM, PRA KFI, NEI, HJI, GJI, DKI and DNI (10)
- Triangles with four components each DIE, DFI, DOA, DQA and GHI (5)
- Triangles with six components each DCA and DBA (2)
- Triangles with eight components is DEF (1)
- Triangle with twelve components is ABC (1)

Total number of triangles in the figure is 8 + 10 + 5 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 27

Hence option A is correct.
